Welcome to the New CMA!
Your local medical society is undergoing the most significant change in its 119 year history. I am excited about the change and believe that you will be too!
As you may know, a new policy by the state and local associations in Ohio means that membership in the CMA no longer requires membership in the OSMA.
As health care continues to change, most of these changes will be realized on the local level. Area hospital systems are buying up practices, ACO's are being formed, and it all means that physicians need to be connected to each other and to their patients at a deeper level than any other time. We believe that CMA can help by providing easy ways for your to connect with your colleagues either face-to-face or with a digital platform.
At the heart of CMA's new direction is connectivity. How physicians can become less isolated and be more connected with colleagues and patients - local physicians working with each other on the issues most important to you.
This new approach is not being done anywhere else in the United States. Simply, the CMA is redefining the role of the local medical society. You have the opportunity to be a part of something completely new and different. We hope you continue the journey with us.
Sincerely,

Mark A. Bechtel, MD
CMA President
